Frequently, new wheel loaders are purchased without sufficient consideration for their specific applications. This oversight can result in using a General Purpose (GP) bucket in environments that are too impactful or abrasive, leading to premature wear and tear. Consequently, this causes high maintenance costs and excessive downtime, resulting in production loss.
To address this issue, Raptor SME's were tasked with designing a wear kit to upgrade the bucket to meet the job's demands. We laser scanned the bucket on site.The comprehensive armour package includes a RaptorPlate® 6/6 liner kit, Raptor Defender® heel plates, buttons, roll bars, and chocky bars. Additionally, Raptor mining heel savers were installed to protect the bucket corners and add extra strength.
With this new armour package, all key structural components of the bucket are protected for years, allowing the owner to focus on their core business of moving material and producing various aggregate materials without worrying about equipment durability.
