RaptorPlate is Raptor's premium chrome carbide overlay wear plate, built for the most demanding abrasion environments in mining, quarrying, and bulk material handling. When standard AR plate isn't cutting it, RaptorPlate is the answer.

What Is RaptorPlate?

RaptorPlate is a chrome carbide overlay wear plate consisting of a mild steel base with a hard chromium carbide alloy fused to the working surface. The overlay is extremely hard and highly resistant to sliding abrasion, making it the right specification for chutes, hoppers, liners, buckets, and transfer points where material continuously contacts the plate surface.

RaptorPlate is available in multiple formats to suit different applications. Full sheets are available in thicknesses from 3/16" x 3/16" through to 1/2" x 1/2", in standard sizes up to 60" x 120" or 44.25" x 105". Strips are available in widths from 3" to 6" and lengths of 120" across the same thickness range. Pre-cut wear patches are available in a wide range of sizes with square corner, 45 degree corner, and plug weld configurations.

When to Specify RaptorPlate Over AR Plate

AR plate works in moderate abrasion environments. But in applications involving fine, dry, and highly abrasive material moving continuously across a surface, AR plate wears through quickly and replacement frequency becomes a significant cost driver.

If your operation is replacing AR plate frequently, RaptorPlate is worth the conversation.

Laser Scanned and Engineered for a Perfect Fit

Plates that don't conform precisely to your equipment geometry leave gaps, wear unevenly, and require additional fabrication on site. Raptor eliminates this problem with laser scanning services available at any CISC location or directly on site.

Scan data is used by Raptor engineers to produce custom RaptorPlate liner kits fabricated in-house before they leave the shop. Faster installation, complete coverage, and a liner kit that performs as designed from day one. Scan data can also be used to check fit and alignment of pins and bushings, and to support solid model analysis for new casting design and supply.

RaptorPlate Patches and Strips

For targeted wear protection or spot repairs, RaptorPlate is available as pre-cut wear patches and strips. Patches are available in 4/5, 6/6, 8/8, and 10/10 thickness configurations. Strips run 120" across 4/5 through 12/12 thickness ranges. Custom sizes and configurations are available on request.
