Bucket Inspection and Rebuilds by Raptor Mining — and in some cases, bucket inspection and rebuilds by a Raptor.
A mining bucket takes constant punishment. Impact, abrasion, and structural stress add up over time and eventually every bucket needs attention. The question is whether you have a rebuild partner that can bring it back to full operating condition quickly, precisely, and with the right wear protection to extend its service life the second time around.
Raptor can. Any size, make, or model just simply drop it off and Raptor will take care of the rest.
What Does a Bucket Rebuild Involve?
A proper bucket rebuild starts with a thorough inspection to assess structural condition, wear patterns, and what needs to be repaired, replaced, or refabricated. From there the scope typically includes some combination of structural welding and repairs, base edge assembly, lip assembly work, wear plate lining, and GET installation.
Raptor handles all of this in-house across its CISC locations, with the fabrication capability and engineering support to manage the full scope from inspection through to finished bucket ready to go back in the field.
Laser Scanning for Precision Fit
One of the most important steps in a quality bucket rebuild is getting wear protection to fit correctly. Plates that don't conform to the bucket geometry wear unevenly, leave gaps, and require additional work on site.
Raptor's laser scanning service eliminates this problem. Available at any CISC location or directly on site, laser scanning captures precise bucket geometry down to godzillions of cloud points. That data is used by Raptor engineers to produce RaptorPlate and HarderPlate liner kits fabricated in-house for a perfect fit before they leave the shop. Scan data can also be used to check fit and alignment of pins and bushings and to support solid model analysis for new casting design.
Wear Plate Lining
Once the structure is sound, protecting it with the right wear solution is what determines how long the bucket lasts before the next rebuild. Raptor supplies and installs RaptorPlate chrome carbide overlay liner kits engineered to the exact geometry of your bucket chutes, floors, sidewalls, and any high-wear surface that needs protection.
For applications requiring additional hardening, HarderPlate wear kits are also available for both fixed plant and mobile applications.
GET Installation
A complete bucket rebuild includes putting the right ground engaging tools back on. Raptor supplies and installs the full range of GET components including lip shrouds, heel shrouds, lip savers, heel savers, and associated hardware to return the bucket to full digging performance.
Welding Services
Raptor's welding capability covers the full scope of bucket repair and fabrication work, UGM lip assemblies, base edge assemblies, fabricated wear solutions, new bucket fabrication, and structural repairs. Heavy metal welding, handled.
Why Raptor
Raptor Mining Products has been supplying wear parts, GET, and engineered wear solutions to mining operations globally since 2004. With CISC locations in Edmonton, Barrie, Salt Lake City, Arequipa, Belo Horizonte, and Kaatsheuvel, Raptor has the local presence and in-house capability to support bucket rebuild programs across North America, Latin America, and Europe.
